Gerda Wegener | Les Délassements D’Eros

Les Délassements D’Eros | Twelve Elegantly Erotic Pochoir Plates

This highly erotic masterpiece by Gerda Wegener is a set of aquarelle pochoir plates. Pochoir printing is the forerunner of what is known in street art as a stencil. The recreation of Eros, as the title can be translated, shows fairy like girls amusing themselves alone, together or with the help of a satyr. A cornucopia of lesbian sex scenes, executed in perfect Art Deco, by the Bohemian Icon of the lesbian and queer art scene of the 1920s. Signed with her trademark domino-mask symbol that she  used for her erotica.
