Fabienne learned the craft of photography at a young age before studying cinematography, cognitive psychology, and digital communication in Paris and Lisbon. Within a short time, she became one of the most sought-after set photographers and cinematographers in the adult industry. Well-paid but artistically underchallenged, she used her work environment for her own independent film and photography projects. “Sperme aux lèvres” brings together numerous portraits of female performers at the end of a shoot.
The women—often sweaty, exhausted, their faces covered in semen—are completely detached from their surroundings, lost in their own world. By completely blocking out the film set and focusing exclusively on the women, Fabienne creates haunting portraits that establish a compelling intimacy with the subjects. These images can best be described as contemplative pornography.
