Masked Girls

La Femme au Masque is a painting by Henri Gervex, depicting the 22 year old Parisienne model Marie Renard full nude, wearing only a Domino masque. Created in 1885 it was described a scandalous at its first public exhibition, and many women were scandalized as the , at its time unknown model, the most high profile being Camille du Gast where it was the subject of a court case in 1902.
